We first launched The Hoodie over nine years ago, and it became more than just a bestseller - it became the piece that built our brand. Over the years, we’ve heard from countless women who loved its super-soft alpaca feel and go-anywhere versatility, but wished for a fit made just for them.

We listened. The new Women’s Hoodie keeps everything you loved about the original - the natural performance, the cozy softness, the everyday style, and of course the support for the people who make it in Peru - and reimagines it with a silhouette designed for a more feminine fit.

A Bestseller Since Day One 

Let’s start with the tried and true details that made the original Hoodie a fan favorite. Because while our Women’s Hoodie may have an evolved design, one thing remains the same (and for very good reason): the fabric. Made with our beloved blend of Royal Alpaca and recycled nylon, it’s unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

  • Extremely Lightweight: We’re talking less weight than your favorite coffee cup, which makes it a great option for layering up or packing down.
  • Softer Than Cashmere: If the idea of alpaca wool makes you think “itchy”, prepare to be surprised! In fact, Royal Alpaca fiber is so soft against the skin, you can even skip the undershirt.
  • Odor Resistant: Yeah, seriously. Alpaca is light and breathable thanks to micro air pockets in the wool, which lets air circulate and keeps you gloriously stink free.
  • Thermoregulating: If alpacas can survive up in the ever-changing mountain air, imagine what their fibers can do for you! In fact, this Hoodie has a naturally thermal comfort range of more than 50°F.
  • Durability to Go: Alpaca fiber has some impressive tensile strength (50 N/ktex to be specific), so it can keep up with all your adventures.

Same Fibers, New Flattering Fit

While the Women’s Hoodie has that same hardworking fabric, there are some flattering new design features that make it a star in its own right.

  • Slimmer Silhouette: We nixed the boxier fit (still available here of course, if that’s your preference!) and opted for a slim look that’s oh-so flattering. 
  • Longer Back Hem: A slightly longer length in the back adds some dimension and a bit of extra coverage when pairing with leggings. 
  • Side Slits: More than just an added style detail, these allow for extra mobility on the go. 
  • Raglan Arms: Much like the side slits, these aren’t just for looking good, but giving you a fuller range of motion. 
  • Rib Stitch Side Details: This beautiful detailing helps cinch in the silhouette and adds some extra visual interest. 
  • Soft Thumbholes: For that extra cozy factor and stay-in-place fit.
