Details
Beyond simply “inspired by,” the Heritage Collection was co-created directly with the Centro de Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco—incorporating the artisans’ stories and traditions into each style—with 5% of sales going back to the CTTC to support Quechua weavers and their families. Cozy rib stitching at the calf and alpaca-powered fabric keep these sustainable thermal socks comfy and dry mile after mile. It features a compass, or “Challaypu” pattern with the diamond representing the union of south, north, east and west in Inca culture. Here at PAKA, the motif also reminds us to trust our intuition to guide us in the right direction. We hope these warm, patterned socks keep you feeling cozy and confident as well, wherever life leads.

A Story in Every Thread
After over a year of dreaming, designing, and collaboration, PAKA’s first-ever Heritage Collection is finally here. It started with a question: how can we co-create more closely with the Quechua artisans and Andes communities who make PAKA what it is, and honor their heritage?
Created in partnership with master weaver Nilda Callañaupa Alvarez and the Centro de Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco (CTTC), this collection honors the Quechua weaving tradition - where every thread carries meaning, and each symbol tells a story.
As part of this collaboration, 5% of sales are returned to the weavers as royalties - a core belief that we must protect traditions and ancestral knowledge.
